Municipal energy efficiency promotion
Overview
The objective of this assignment is to build capacity of municipal authorities to develop Municipal Energy Efficiency Action Plans (MEEAPs) following the methodology used in development of two model MEEAPs. The objective is to be achieved through dissemination of results from Technical Assistance in Municipal Energy Efficiency Promotion project – including model MEEAPs, PFSs, case studies, guidance notes, etc. in a series of workshops with training delivered to municipal authorities and interested stakeholders.
More specifically the scope of the assignment encompasses the dissemination of results of Technical Assistance results and Municipal Energy Efficiency Action Plans for broader use, as well as transferring knowledge and experiences through training workshops and possibilities for replication across all 81 municipalities in Macedonia.
Activities:
- Design a methodology and time frame for the activity;
- Develop, print and publish of “How to” guide for energy efficiency;
- Develop and implement media communications plan;
- Organize 8 regional training workshops throughout Macedonia on Effective MEEAPs Development;
- Prepare a final report summarizing implementation, feedback and recommendations for further dissemination.
- Developed, printed and published a guidebook (in three languages en-mk-alb) “How to develop an energy efficiency program” – 7 steps to an energy efficient municipality
- Conducted 8 regional training workshops with more than 460 participants;
- Conducted informational and promotion campaign conducted through dozens of national and local media, web sites, social media etc.
